exocad’s constantly expanding verified component library databases contain a leading number of supported dental components. It is important to support the newest dental innovations right from the start. That’s why we support our partners, official resellers and dental component manufacturers to make the integration process of new and updated component systems as easy and efficient as possible. exoplan features tools for implant position planning and surgical guide design with our Guide Creator module.
To enable us to use your data within our software systems, it’s required to form a License Agreement. This License Agreement also allows us to use your company name, trademarks and related imagery/parameters within our software systems for displaying and advertising.
The integration of the following implantology components is supported:
The first step is to integrate your implants. After the implant integration is finished, the creation of surgical guide libraries will be handled in a separate ticket. The reason for this is that we have to initialize some information in the implant libraries which will be used after that in the sleeve and kits for compatibility.
Prosthetic libraries for DentalCAD/ChairsideCAD also work in exoplan if they are compatible with the implant libraries. Find out more about how the exoplan-DentalCAD cross-compatibiliy works here.
The most efficient and straightforward way to integrate your implantology components is by utilizing one of our specialized services. Our team of experts is dedicated to ensuring a seamless integration process tailored to your specific needs. Upon receiving your request and the necessary data, we will carefully assess your requirements and provide a customized offer. This will guide you step-by-step to successfully integrate your implantology libraries into our exoplan software suite.

With the implant planning software exoplan, it is possible to plan surgical guides. To enable the software to create a surgical guide with your components, they must be integrated in different libraries. In general, guide planning is only possible with an integrated implant library and additional exoplan Guide Creator libraries.
There are several solutions for guided surgery, that can be enabled with exoplan Guide Creator libraries:

Click on the following questions to get the most important information on exoplan Guide Creator libraries:
To integrate exoplan Guide Creator libraries the following information is mandatory. The information will be displayed in the surgical report which is created by exoplan automatically after planning the surgical guide:
Guided surgery kit
Guided surgery sleeve
For specifications on the data and model file orientation see “exoplan_Dimensions.pdf”.
Send us as much detailed information as possible about your guided surgery solution via an exomine ticket. The ticket will be created by sending an email to integration@exocad.com.
Possible sources of information are:
The data will be analyzed by our staff. Please expect questions for more clarification. In most of the cases, we need you to fill you the following Excel spreadsheet.
For specific information, we need redundant information to ensure a proper integration. This information is safety relevant and needed by our quality departement to ensure ISO 13485. To collect this information in an orderly manner, we have created the Excel spreadsheet. For each item of the surgical application, you will find values to enter. For each value we provided images or a tool tip when hovering over the headline. To provide us information on the surgical procedure, answer the questions in the tab "Q&A." Please note, that the surgical protocol displays information on the last drill step forming the osteotomy (for reference, see the picture below).
The Guide Creator libraries are created in-house by exocad staff. Each new system integration or update will undergo an intensive internal testing afterwards. The testing consists of three steps that can only be done sequentially. Be prepared that new questions about the provided information may come up during the library testing. Afterwards the libraries will be uploaded to our download portal. An average timeframe for a Guide Creator integration from request to library upload is currently 12+ months.
The parameters and information which is used to design the surgical guide are stored in different libraries:
Sleeve libraries without predefined positions are a temporary solution for a fast surgical guide availability to compensate the long waiting times of the standard integration for guided surgery components.
They include the real sleeve geometry, but have reduced functionality without fixed distances or compatibilities to implants.
Sleeve libraries without predefined positions remain unsigned and will appear as unofficial libraries within the software. However, the creation of surgical guides is possible with these libraries, when confirming the associated information message in the software.
They are available for download only in our secure area for our resellers to hand them out to end users.
As soon as the standard libraries for the guided surgery components are finished and available in our download portal the sleeve libraries without predefined positions libraries will be removed from the secure area.
