 About this opportunity

In this role you will have end-to-end responsibility and accountability for all activities under the Restorative care area, such as defining long-range strategy, translating it into the annual operating plans, developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategy and commercialization plans, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. All that to help drive practice growth and efficiency for dental professional customers -- including General Dentists (GPs), Orthodontists, and Dental Labs.

You will need to understand the needs of customers to develop product and service concepts, positioning and messaging, and commercialization plans across the globe. This is a leadership role that requires the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively with Align counterparts, product management, regional marketing leadership, sales, legal/regulatory teams, and marketing agency partners. You must be able to effectively influence the organization up and down. Additionally, this role requires you to gain insight into local market dynamics, collect voice of customer feedback and consolidate input into the development of global product launch and key campaigns to drive expected growth for the company.

You will report into the Sr. Director of Clinical Solutions business segment and be part of the global iTero product, marketing, and services team.

In this role, you will …

  • Ensure customer focus by communicating and building rapport with partners and customers as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” reflected in work processes. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of iTero customers (Dentists, Orthodontists, Labs, DSOs, etc.) and forge close relationships. Translate this understanding into solutions that are consistent with the long-term customer experience and our vision.  
  • Have strong leadership and execution skills and ability to “drive” throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and post-market activities.
  • Understand a competitive landscape to understand Align position within the market, identify gaps, and suggest actionable paths to address those gaps. 
  • Establish tradeoffs between internal development and business partnership activities with strategic partners-including contract negotiations and maintenance, product changes, forecasting and financials. 
  • Evangelize for the iTero solutions by presenting to customer and user groups, and trade shows, sell the product roadmap internally, participate in winning large deals, provide sales training, and generate enthusiasm for restorative solutions. 
  • Be a proactive problem solver who operates effectively in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity.  
  • Be intellectually curious, technically savvy, and maintain a sense of humor and humility.

In this role, you’ll need … 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product marketing and/or strategic leadership roles in dental companies.
  • Knowledge in dental practice environment and clinical workflows in dental practices and labs.
  • Leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy. 
  • Sc. or B.A. degree; Master’s degree in product management/business an advantage.
  • Strong product management and product marketing expertise, including market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, requirements, product life-cycle management, GTM and commercialization.
  • Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas.
  • Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work globally .
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers. 

Location

  • Copenhagen, Denmark or Darmstadt, Germany
  • Early or late business hours may be required depending on location and assigned project work with Align locations in USA, Europe, and Asia.
