To strengthen our IP Management team in Darmstadt, we are looking for you as a
Trademark and Patent IP Consultant (m/w/d)
As a trademark and patent IP consultant, you will support the head of the patent department in the drafting, filing, obtaining, defending, and enforcing of industrial property rights, with appropriate experience or after appropriate training, you will also take over some of these tasks independently.
The main tasks include
- Formal processing - independently and according to instructions
- Independent monitoring of time limits and deadlines
- Correspondence with offices and law firms in Germany and abroad, either independently or by arrangement
- Processing of incoming and outgoing mail (from DPMA, EPO, WIPO etc.) as well as from domestic and foreign representatives
- General secretarial duties including invoicing and tracking.
- Close collaboration with R&D, product management and external partners
- Internal training and workshops on intellectual property
- Working on and implementing a sustainable trademark strategy
- International monitoring of trademark infringements and enforcement of trademark rights
- Patent and trademark prosecution with international knowhow
- Identifying patentable inventions in cooperation with our R&D department and product management
- Conducting patent searches for our major global markets
- Provision of patent law analyses for various business areas
- Evaluation of third-party patents and identification of potential patent infringements
- Definition and continuation of our guidelines for scientific publications and external technical discussions
The personal requirements
- Min. 5+ years in relevant working experience
- Experience in the organization of administrative processes, as well as interest in their design and optimization
- Confident handling of common office software
- Independent, proactive, reliable, and committed way of working.
- Strong communication skills
- Very good knowledge of English, German is a Plus
