Dr. Jan Hajtó is an internationally recognized specialist for functional and aesthetic dentistry and has his own practice in Munich. His patients value him as an expert on complex and extensive indications as well as for his extensive clinical experience in the field of fixed restorations with full ceramics. In his guest lecture "DIGITALIZATION AND ESTABLISHED ANALOG WORKFLOWS - contradiction or complement?", Hajtó addresses various applications of current CAD/CAM workflows with exocad's ChairsideCAD as a supplement, as well as an alternative, to traditional analog workflows.
Larry Bodony is President of the American subsidiary exocad America Ltd and has been a member of the exocad family since 2011. An MIT and electrical engineering graduate, his career in the dental industry began as Vice President of Sensable Technologies, where he was actively involved in bringing the world's first digital solution for the design of partial dentures to the market. In his lecture, Bodony will give an overview of the exocad solutions and their various fields of application.
Michael Anger is the owner of the Michael Anger Dental Laboratory and the milling center MA CAD/CAM Service UG in Remagen. His knowledge of digital and conventional dental technology is harnessed by the dental technician on an international level as a speaker and operator of the e-learning platform Dentalligent. As a specialist in a variety of exocad solutions, Anger conducts active workshops several times a month to bring the benefits of the software to both novices and professionals alike. In his presentation at Insights 2018, Anger offers a glimpse into partial digital prosthetics with PartialCAD.
Uli Hauschild is the owner of the dental laboratory Uli Hauschild Dental Design in Sanremo, Italy and Vice President of the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS). He passes on his extensive experience in aesthetic and functional dental prosthetics as a lecturer at various universities and regularly publishes articles in scientific journals. He is a reviewer for Implant Dentistry, the international journal for oral implantology, and a member of the DGOI board. In his guest lecture, Uli, an expert in computer-assisted implantology, will present exoplan, exocad's solution for virtual implant planning, and demonstrate the diverse possibilities of the software in practice-oriented example cases.
Dr. Henning Beck
Dr. Henning Beck is a biochemist and deals with the most mysterious and innovative part of the body: the brain. In his lectures, including as Science Slammer, he adopts a fun and educational approach to presenting his research. He also does this in various books, including "To err is useful. Why the weaknesses of the brain are our strengths" (German title: Irren ist nützlich. Warum die Schwächen des Gehirns unsere Stärken sind). At Insights, Dr. Henning Beck will give a special guest lecture. The topic has not yet been announced - so stay tuned!
Vanik Kaufmann-Jinoian is head of the dental laboratory Cera-Tech AG in Switzerland. During his long career in the dental industry, Kaufmann-Jinoian has experienced the digital revolution of dental technology first hand and has also designed his own laboratory focusing on the computer-aided design of restorations. In his guest lecture titled "Myths and Reality of Dental 3D Printing" Kaufmann-Jinoian shows the possibilities and limitations of the 3D printing process for the production of dental restorations.
Waldo Zarco Nosti
Waldo Zarco Nosti is the owner of the dental laboratory Estudio Dental CAD CAM in Algeciras, Spain. As an expert in dealing with the exocad software, Waldo regularly appears at exocad events as a guest speaker and impresses the audience with his case demonstrations. Waldo is also the founder of the exocad Experts' group on Facebook, which now has more than 27,000 members sharing dental CAD / CAM solutions. In his guest presentation, Waldo will present exocad DentalCAD in conjunction with Smile Design, the new exocad module for creating aesthetic smiles.
Dr. Anoop Maini
Dr. Anoop Maini is a committee member of the International Digital Dentistry Academy, a member of the teaching faculty of the IAS Academy, former president of the British academy of cosmetic dentistry and serves on editorial board for orthodontic updates. He graduated from Kings College London in 1992 and has been in private practice in London since 1998, focusing on aesthetic and restorative dentistry. His areas of interest are minimally invasive smile makeovers using orthodontics and composite resins and digital dentistry in general. In his presentation "Experience with Digital Dentistry in Practice", he will talk during our clinical session about his views on how CAD/CAM technology is contributing to and changing dental practices of the future.
Dr. Ingo Baresel
Dr. Ingo Baresel is founder and president of the DGDOA (German Association of Intraoral Scanning) and a renowned intraoral scanner expert, having worked with a multitude of difference devices in over 3000 scanned cases. Additionally, he has over 20 years of field experience in prosthetics, periodontology and orthodontics and has held numerous lectures on these topics since 2014. In his presentation "Differences Between Intraoral Scanners", he will share interesting "insights" and talk about the capabilities and differences of various intraoral scanners during our clinical session.
Dr. Paul Weigl
Dr. Paul Weigl has been a dental professional for 30 years and has held numerous prestigious positions at the Goethe University Dental Clinic in Frankfurt during his career, including lead researcher, Assistant Medical Director at the Department of Prosthodontics, Head of the Pre-Clinical Study Section at the Department of Prosthodontics, Quality Assurance Manager and, most recently, Head of Department of Postgraduate Education. His research focuses include oral implantology and digital dental in general, in particular around the area of guided surgery and pre-surgical production of dental prostheses. In his presentation “Quo Vadis Digital Dentistry? – Telemedicine, Big Data, Deep Learning and AI” Dr. Weigl will delve into into practice-oriented cases and share interesting industry “insights” during our clinical session.
Dr. Armen Mirzayan
Dr. Armen Mirzayan built his digital dentistry-enabled private practice in 2001. Since then, he has trained over 15,000 clinicians on CAD/CAM and CT technologies. He was the original founder of cerecdoctors.com, and now owns and operates CAD-Ray.com and Apnea.Today. His focus has always been to lead his dental colleagues to the successful implementation of cutting-edge technology into their practices. In his presentation "Distinct Advantages of Digital Impressions" Dr. Mirzayan will present during our clinical session the three most compelling reasons why every dentist should move from analog to digital dentistry, including some outstanding digital workflows for clinicians and specialists.
